Birra Mastino is the craft brewery of the wonderful city of Verona. And it is precisely this city which inspired the name of the brewery itself, the brand and the names of all different types of beer.
Born more than ten years ago, only since 2015 the brewery has seen a rapid development in terms of production and organization, which led to offer particular and unique craft beers.
The main vocation of Birra Mastino is represented by a process of low fermentation, which harks back to the major brewing tradition. The incredibly careful selection of raw materials and the constant research of production techniques represent the characteristic features which allow the brewery to offer beers always extremely balanced and stable with regard to taste and quality.
As craft beers, special attention is given to the ripening process, which occurs in horizontal tanks. This allows the brewery to make Mastino beers clean and clear, without using the filtration process.
Each beer recipe is conceived by Mauro Salaorni and Christian Superbi, the two Birra Mastino’s partners; they both made their way in the brewing world even before the birth of the brewery itself: Mauro started working in his family restaurant, while Christian in different beer companies.
The perfect combination of Mauro’s field knowledge of this sector coupled with Christian’s management skills has gotten Mastino brewery this far. Birra Mastino means passion, tireless spirit of research and tradition: hence, this beer could be defined… “Artigianale Veramente” (“truly craft beer”).
